VVIQ
Vividness of Visual Imagery Questionnaire. A sixteen-item self-report measure of how vivid a person’s mental imagery is, widely used in aphantasia research.
You are asked to picture things — a relative’s face, a sunrise, a shop you know — and rate how vivid each image is on a five-point scale. A consistently low score is the population the aphantasia research is about. The VVIQ is free, takes about ten minutes, and does not diagnose — it is a starting point, not a verdict.
