Support
If it helped, you can help keep it online.
The Unseen Mind is free, ad-free, and does not track you. It is also not free to run.
Running this site — hosting, domain, the newsletter service — adds up to around £50 a month at the scale I’m aiming for. Today that comes out of my own pocket, which is fine — I built this because I wanted it to exist. But if the site has been useful to you and you would like to help keep it online, you can.
One-off
A one-time contribution of any size. No account needed. Goes straight towards hosting and domain costs.
Monthly
A small recurring amount — £2 or £3 a month from a handful of people would cover the running costs entirely and let me stop thinking about it. There are no perks, no bonus content, no supporter-only posts. Everything on this site stays free for everyone, regardless of who pays.
Other ways to help
If money is not something you can spare, that is genuinely fine. Other things that help, in rough order of usefulness:
- Tell someone who might need it. Most people find resources like this through word of mouth, not search.
- Subscribe to the newsletter. A growing list makes it easier to justify the time.
- If you are a clinician, educator, or researcher, get in touch — corrections, suggestions, and offers of expertise are all welcome.
What I will not do
- Run ads.
- Sell or share your data. (See the privacy page.)
- Take money from anyone whose interests conflict with the people this site is for. That includes anyone selling a “cure” for aphantasia or SDAM, neither of which needs curing.
If any of that ever changes, it will be on the changelog before it is anywhere else.
